Last thursday was truly something I (and probably Nadia) will never forget. Upon entering the room on the 4^th floor of KPD E, I whispered to myself, “We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore”. All around us girls were dressed in beautiful, vibrant colored sari’s, and guys were dressed in their erm, I don’t exactly know what it’s called (sorry!). The Diwali Nite at Help!! I went with an open mind, a tad bit of uncertainty and a ton of excitement! I love experiencing the celebrations of different cultures! It really is enriching. Dance after dance, from a graceful slow pointy finger dance (yes, I haven’t got the names figured out yet!) to the all time fav Bhangra, Indian poetry reciting and a Sari fashion show. Even a lil bit of belly dancing to end the performance for the night. It occurred to me that it takes great skill, agility, grace and that vaa-vaa-voom factor to bring life to the performance. Most of the dancers that night moved really well, and I mean… moooved!! These guys bring a whole new meaning to booty-shaking!! Haha… the night didn’t end there! After the performances, the dance floor outside the auditorium opened. Music filled the air and there was a very “get out there and just shake it” feel to the beat. All of us (nad, divya, stuti, ajay, abi, ranpreet, golo, suva….. etc!) went and danced our hearts out! These guys can really shake it! Ajay, erm, a little funny though! Haha.. J I realized that I didn’t have to be an Indian to enjoy their culture and their music and definitely their food!! I guess there’s a little bit of Indian in all of us… and all sorts of other cultures too. People are really open and welcoming, I guess that’s what makes festivals and celebrations here in M’sia pretty awesome. Heck, I’m not even THAT patriotic, but seriously, its good that everyone gets along regardless of our differences. Thumbs up to Diwali Nite!!

anyway, back to the more important stuff… sports carnival has been friggin AWESOME! gonna miss all those after class practices! aarthi and neera… i wanna play more futsal and netball!! i learnt and gained much more than just the skills of playing the sport… i also met new ppl, formed stronger bonds with the ones i already know.. and changed my view on some that i thought were not worth gettin to know. the whole netball team is like one big family… aarthi is definitely our mommy!! hahaha… i love u guys! i miss the duckies.. too bad we didnt come up with a team name this time. or was it Apples and Bananas for team A and team B? hmmm.. i wonder. anyway, col so far is good.. i’ve got an awful lot of spare time since i’m only doin AS for Econs… i’ve started watching Greys Anatomy which is also frigging awesome! i’m on to the ending of season 2 now! hmmm… what else is new? well, bowling has slowed down a bit. the lanes in bangsar are seriously starting to suck big time! kiara league ended abt 2 weeks ago and theres only a week left for tropicana. going for my undang test this friday (hopefully, unless they postpone it AGAIN!) yes gagan.. i shall use ur "usefull" advice to help me pass my driving.. hahaha!! yea right..

On sunday, the 17th of Sept, Nad and i celebrated our 17th and 18th bdays at my hse! abt 100+ friends fr highschool and college joined us. turned out to be pretty ok! according to everyone, the food was great… ppl started turning up around 5ish onwards…nad and i werent even ready!! we prayed and prayed the day b4 so that it wouldnt rain, also continuosly checkin the weather forcast on every possible website. luckily for us, it only drizzled for abt 15 mins.. clear skies, lovely weather! thank you God, or maybe … thank you Eunice?? for doing that rain dance for us! hmm…. i wonder. anyway, other than our friends, two of my "favourite" subject lecturers came too. ms leong and ms joanna! mom spent the night chatting away with them… i seriously wonder what they were talkin abt. well, i only opened my presents on monday night… since i crashed after the party on sunday. thanks guys for all the presents! love the lamp from Emy, ming, nat and nyat. the earrings and girl boxers from jas were cool… vun and brins pressie was really nicee too! infact, thanks to everyone who took the time to come for the party, and to those that got me a present! *hint hint to ARAFAT, EUNICE!!* ehhe…. and erm.. weirdest present i received? well, the photo frame from jin with his *cough* pic inside! ahaha.. joke weih! but i bet this cant beat the present eunice got for nad… (hey nad, i bet it comes in handy on ur lonely and HORNY days!) ickk!

anyway, this whole imaginary dog business?? lemme just say that when u want to tapau food home from anywhere… never say its for ur dog at home… just trust me on this one!

btw, i’ve discovered a new way to spend time in college… shhhh!! hahaha.. yea man! woot! :))

havent updated for abt 2 weeks+ now… what have i been doin so far? well, vila’s left to canada. some complications with a few friends (but thank goodness its all settled now), took my very first step of getting my drivers licence (the 6 hour undang lecture), unexpected squash tournament, bowling tournament, and futsal and netball practices. A Lvl results were out quite awhile back. I’m semi satisfied with my results, A’s for Math, did pretty ok for lit, and as i expected, i flunked econs. i’ve come to a conclusion that econs is simply just NOT for me. so now, i’m taking only the first 3 units, as an AS level grade.

On Sat, nad and i went to kiara for the Help Sports carnival squash tournament…. guess what?!? we won!! hahahah.. dont ask me for the details. hahha… then after that, we got into nadia’s infamous green myvi and she drove us to bsc. we jockey parked! ok, seriously, this is no big deal.. but, hahha.. it is definitely VERY convenient! i might even consider jockey-parking my car once i get my licence! :)  so anyway, after that, i had my futsal tournament. i was damn shit scared being the (very orange) goalie. all these questions were in my head… "what if the ball flies straight to my face and i dont have enough time to stop it?", "what if i cant save ANY goals??"… "what if i accidently score an own goal?"…damn!..  but yea, in the end, we won 3rd! thanks Neera for all the coaching and all. then today, me, nadia, eunice, and a whole bunch of A47’s went to this orphanage in PJ called Rumah Hope. kids there were mad i tell u! M A D!! running around, screaming… jumping… ishh!! hahaha.. but kids are kids i suppose. one kid was actually really emo, sitting by himself… so i decided to teman him. Now, i owe him a gameboy for his bday.., haih.. some promises, are NOT meant to be kept. sorry la kiddo!

heyys! as the title suggest, this aint no 3 liner post no more (since some ppl have something against my oh-so short posts). anyways, things nowadays are somewhat fast paced compared to the norm. i’ve recently bought myself a new hp (the L’Amour 7370, its sooo prettyyy!!) and a laptop (finally!). have been to a few parties, vila’s 17th and my Lan reunion bbq thingi… gone to sunway lagoon (there’s this Taylorian lifeguard hottie there… rarr!! nisha and i finally managed to get his name after going on the slides 3 times!) and went skating today (i’m sooo proud of Qui Yi! she skates better than nadia and gagan, combined! AND, she’s only 8!!). tmrw, i’ll be getting back my first sem A Level results! wish me luck ppl, i so freakin need it! after that, futsal with vila, gagan, shergar, shahmeez, anndrina, suva, and maybe nadia and a few others. its time to finally try new things. if gagan can, i’m sure the rest of the world will survive. he went on a rollercoaster for a certain someone just to be with her although he is freakin AFRAID of rollercoasters and other things "scary". he ate sushi for the first time… and even went iceskatin eventhough he hurt his ankle. man, the things ppl would do for love. *respect*. also, i met up with some old school mates a few days ago at Square, esther and ping who’s back fr kedah! was really good catchin up with em.. remeniscing the good old school days.. (although cla! woi!! how could u choose SLEEPING over meetin up with friends? huh? huh? huh?, AND eunice lim eu nice!! makan at SS2 summore la! =P) hahaha.. yeaps… things so far have been good. but reality is rather harsh. i’ve got my piano exam which is next week friday, my long overdue mentholatum proposal which is not even near complete, exam results tmrw, tons of lit hw, econs and maths to catch up on and loaddsssss moree!! holidays! i love em, and i hate em.. i miss college. but i SO need a LOONNGGG holiday!! gahh…

hmm.. first day of second sem today. wasnt half bad… in fact, i was actually lookin forward to startin coll once again. yea, hols are great.. giving u loads of time to relax and just chill. but sometimes… u have absolutely NOTHING to do.. glad coll has started! great seein everyone again.. ms kimmy is fab! although i slept in her class today… (oops, sorry! i blame Italy and football!). math was fine and so was lit.

its july. and in abt 2 months.. i’ll be turning 17. yea yea, no big deal. but i’m havin a rather hard time deciding what i want as a pressie. kinda silly right? but oh-so-confusing!! HELPPP…!! its either

• a brand new handphone…( abt rm1500- rm2000 ) which honestly, i dont really need, since the one i’m using right now is prefectly fine.
• a laptop…( rm 3000- 5000 ) since i’ll be going overseas next yr, i might as well have all my work on one comp and it’ll be much easier to bring over then.
• a car… (rm 80000 ++, was thinkin myvi or jazz ) yeah i know. most ppl would choose this, but i havent even gotten my licence yet. why would i need a car.. and if i really want to drive, i can always take the merc or the camry out for a spin!
• and ooh.. my fav! a new bowling ball (a measly rm600 max, wouldnt the ‘rents be glad? ). yes,u ppl would probably be laughin now. like, why would she need yet ANOTHER bowling ball? u see, i think the one i’m using right now is dying… harhar. yes, DYING. it has lost its magic!

so yea, what do u think ppl? i need opinions…
